Re: I've found some adaptable pups, but......

If you can find someone to pull them I might be able to help with transport through Tennessee.

Re: A special for Jeff and Pekoe

She loved it! Thank you! She was so excited to see her and her Ginger on the computer together. I am going to figure out how to print it out and hang it in her room. Thank you.

Re: Chow quirk?

I don't know what type of gate you have. We have a plain old chainlink fence. We had the same problem with one of our dogs. We used a caribeanner to put in the little hole on the gate latch where its actually attached to the fence part. I'm horrible at descriptions so I don't know how helpful that i...

Re: Where's my little baby gone?

Ginger here...Millie can you really teach me how to get me a handsome chow fella? I would like Wilbur but he thinks I'm too forward. What should I do? I've asked my mommy to get her film developed so she can show how I've grown too and all my fabulous curves. Silly Ginger always trolling for a chow...

Feeding time-three dogs only one seems to be eating

Ginger is eating everyone's food!! We have taken to feeding them seperately and at specific times instead of free feeding the way we were because she eats everyones food and not just her puppy chow. Will I need to do this forever or does anyone have any suggestions on how to teach her to eat her foo...

Re: Where's my little baby gone?

Ginger says she would be happy to have him come for a playdate. All the other boys dogs around here aren't as handsome. She would also like to know if wilbur would mind sending her picture for next to her bed. She's willing to trade although I don't think the picture she has in mind is at all approp...

Re: What would you do (realisticly?)

I try to always put the fogs out when I know guests are coming. I let them in after my guests have been here for a few minutes and are settled down. That way they can get to a seat without being knocked down or deafened by barking and Ginger's zoomies and I don't feel like I have to teach manners to...

Re: Is he undersized?

I agree with rowlee. Ginger is a full figured gal and she weighs about 35 pounds at five monthes. We need to get her on a diet. If Hugo is eating okay and doesn't look or feel unhealthily...making up my own word...skinny to you then I wouldn't worry. He might just be a smaller sized chow.

Re: Dogs and Fences: What to do when people climb over them?

I like my "Violators will be prosecuted" sign. I would go with an electric fence and a violators will be electrucuted sign. Saves time and money. If they didn't do anything wrong they wouldn't get zapped. No need to worry about evidence or anything else. We have kids that do the...

Thank you all. My husband is having a hard time with it mostly because of finding him and the way the family has reacted. I think he has taken some comfort in the fact that his dad is no longer tormented the way he was in life.

Non Chow-My father-in-law

Some of you might remember reading about my father-in-law who previously owned Bel. My husband went to check on him last night because no one had heard from him in two weeks and found he was no longer with us.

Have you talked to your vet to see if maybe it wasn't strictly a food issue? If his bowels are the same regardless of the food I would take him in for a check and make sure there isn't something else more serious going on.

I would vet right away. You don't want anything being transferred to the ones you have at home. We have a dachshund who was fine as long as she could get up on the couch away from Ginger our chow mix. Now that Ginger can get up there poor Max has to hide under the coffee table-Ginger's gotten to big...

Hi Princess Coco, Ginger Snap here. You are quite lovely, I am jealous of your fur...mine never fluffs quite as well as yours...it just lays there. What's a girl to do? I agree with everyone, 9-10 hours alone is hard on a dog. I have a daschund that I have had for close to ten years before I finally adopted Ginger my chow mix. There are many differences. The size is the most obvious one, it is not as easy to pick them up and keep them from things in that way. Ginge...

I just read this post. I hope everything is going well and she is better. I wonder what caused the drooling...that would drive me crazy-the not knowing. We have had the weird weather too, last week we had snow flurries and then today I could have worn shorts if I stayed in the sun.

I love it! I have taught the dogs that their toys aren't allowed outside anymore after I discovered Ginger sharing her toys with the dog next door. They decapitated her favorite monkey trying to get him through the chainlink fence holes.

They both look good. I did the same thing right after I had soph to keep down the maintenance. It does make you look more mature, and I am not using that as a polite term for old.
