This is possible one of the worse scam emails I have ever read. Literally reading it shows its a scam. I am an IT (Information Technology) guy with law background degree. This is just absolutely red flag for scam.

Emails that are being send out, usually do not let the buyer know of their current condition. Why would someone right to you telling that they are going in brain surgery. That is just outrageous and pretty stupid because you would be bed bound after such a procedure. The scammer wants you to feel sympathy about them to get you to want it. If they truly want the dog gone, why not just write it as it is. They don't want them and are looking to rehome them. Why bring up about your life. This is what we call PHISHING. Its geek term for they are trying to fish you out online to scam you.

OH MY GOODNESS... this same person using the same name ( and the same thing saying that she needs to undergo brain surgery )
few days back she wants to give away her pomeranians ( Cleo and Lola ) same name and with pictures attached...
