oh wooow !!..have only just logged on and seen this thread !...chowchowmum aka Katie ?..it has to be ;). was really good to meet you too..hopefully next time we get to see Cleo too :). Thanks for the lovely comments about Maya being beautiful...she is chow smiling :)

...I wish we could all meet up together !..can you imagine ?!...

..I love this site though...you all prove that chows and their owners are the best !...the people around me who don't have chows (which is generally the population of where I live ! ) generally think I am somewhat mad and obsessed about my li'l Maya and chows..so this site is a godsend :)....

chow hugs n those purple xxx's to you all ;) :) :)

Lol, rob is always moaning about me being "obsessed " with chows. He just doesn't understand :) I love them so much, and I have made some good friends through this site. (Yes siriol, Sarah, chrissie, etc, I mean you :) )

It's fun meeting the Chows and their people from the site. Good people, but who else would be Chow folks?

Likewise Becki :)

Hi Auddymay..I get your point :)..I guess really I was just trying to say that where I live, there literally seems to be no-one around (where I live) who either has a chow or knows anything about them...(Maya is 7 months now and we have not yet come across a single person/chow in my local area, although some of the people we do meet locally, seem to have plenty to say with a negative slant on the chow as a breed....but when they meet Maya, I think we go some way in altering those views :)..) so, this site is a brilliant place to come to be able to share stories, info and seek advice etc specifically about chows :)...maybe I was in a bit of an over enthusiastic state of mind when I wrote it though :-D x

He heee Chrissy...you can never be too enthusiastic about chows to my mind. Mostly I prefer mine to people...present company excluded of course. They give love with no thought to what they will get back, are always there if you need them and dont give advice ever!!! Hows that for perfect?

I have read it here on the site so I won't claim it to be my own but it takes a special person to understand a chow. When Joe and I were first dating and Kimba bit me for the ?? time, this time breaking skin, I was relaying the story to someone at work. They said she should be put down, to which I stood up from a sitting position and said, "Hey! You don't get it. I was invading HER space and it was I who forgot in whose house I was. She didn't know any better and was defending her turf and her person." They never argued with me again and to this day I can attest that from biting to kissing ... it takes a special person to love a chow and to BE loved by a chow. I truly understand that while Joe was her person, there is still joy to be found in being "accepted" by a chow. I may not have been her person, but her acceptance meant the world to me.
