Oh yes, my Odessa loves lying right across the stairs and in the hallways, we literally have to shove her off  or step over her (which I don't like) so that we can pass.
Leo is so cute and cuddly

Leo you are too cute!!!

I like to be a rug everywhere my mommy and daddy are and I get so annoyed when they move about too much because then I have to get up and go be a rug where they are (I can't evry well stay in another room! :D ) and I make sure to look extar tired so my mommy feels guilty for waking me!

OMG how cute are those pictures. :) Yup I own a chow rug... Koda stretches out just like that on the floor in front of his personal floor fan that is in the dining room where one of the air conditioners is also in. Hummmmm, what a boy. The other day I was trying to run the vacum and do you think he would move out of his rug position????? Yeah Right! LOL

That is so cute! My chow rug is always spread out in the bathroom doorway. The problem is, it's very thick, makes it tough to close the bathroom door! It'll pop it's head up and look at me as I stepped over it to enter the bathroom but refuses to move. The only time it doesnt argue about moving is when the shower is turned on, then it runs away fast.

At our house they are more 'drape' than 'rug'...

Yes and my two move two, sometimes.

They always tend to do their rug act just where I want to be!

If I say "excuse me" - Milly will get up and move somewhere else to make a point and Mabel will roll over and wave her paw in the air! :D

Thor (may he RIP) used to be our rug and or door mat. He used to love to lay infront of the door. when you had to leave or come in... he still wouldn't move and you would have to push him with the door. (I didn't ever have to sweep in front of the door... lol )
Steel, well.. unless he is sleeping, he goes where I go. And I think the little bugger either sleeps on my bed, or on the couch when we are not here.. (I have evadence  )

I have had four chows in total and none of mine laid with their back legs like that... Mine do lay in the way and does not move when you need them to...

I use to have a similiar chow rug... through all the fluff and folds and brushing its gone through, my chow rug isn't the same. However, when rolled up, it makes a darn good bolster pillow!
