Puppy diet?
Hi and thank you for letting me join the group.
I'm in the UK and a while ago aquired a 17 week old chow that had been siezed by border force. He was smuggled in to satisfy puppy demand here because of the covid situation. I've had him a while and he's 11 months old now.
He's never been to bothered by food and often won't eat his meals for ages. He also has irregular stools. First one will be firm but on the same walk the second one will be very loose. I've tried all sorts of puppy kibble and finally settled on a brand called Step Up. My dog likes small treats but only recently. He'll sometimes get a tiny piece of bacon, a boiled baby potato, half a crisp, a tiny piece of bread etc.
I'd like to know when I could try adding in adult food to his diet. I've never had a puppy before so have no idea if the irregular bowel movements are odd or pretty normal. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
