other dogs
Well my moms friend has two dogs, Lady a rott/lab/something else mix is a great calm dog, on the other hand, Noah a German shep. and coyote mix is a problem... when Noah and Jerz (Jerz is short for Jersey) were great buddies, then jerz jumped up on Noah and Noah freaked out and pinned jersey on the ground and basicly put jerseys head in his mouth. it scared jersey and he ran away whining but was not hurt at all just scared. now Noah growls at jersey even when jersey isnt even looking at him so... BUT when we all go on a hike in the mountain trails they are best friends again (off leash of course, best part of bein a mountain dog!) can someone help me?!?!
:Thanks Sweetpea!

Re: other dogs
It is not uncommon for a chow to be defensive on leash and fine off lead. I would suggest you walk with Noah on lead, Noah leading the way at first as that is less threatening to your pup. Make Noah a part of the best part of your chow's day.
