Fred has bought a Smiley Flag to hoist when I am in a good mood - as opposed to the Skull and Crossbones he hoists when I am in a bad mood!!
I am not sure whether to be pleased or get out the Skull and Crossbones and hoist it.

LOL what do Millie and Mabel think about the fluttering of the flags. Perhaps you should get a rabbit flag when the girl are feeling down.

Yes - starch is a good idea - then he can wear them - teach him for taking the mickey out of me.
But Jacqui, I think the smiley flag is lovely - but - I don't know that I want people to know I am in a good mood, which I usually am. It is just excellent to be able to make a real point when I am in a bad mood!!
David, Milly and Mabel love the flags - they go with Fred to put the flags up.

Oxford Concise English Dictionary definition of :-
Petard - a small bomb made of a metal or wooden box filled with powder > a kind of firework that explodes with a sharp report.
phrase "hoist with (or by) one's own petard" - having one's schemes against others backfiring on one.
Sooooo - if I were to hoist his winter thermal pants up the flagpole, that would about be it!!

Thanks Judy, I knew someone would help me with that.
Yeah, hoist him by his underwear - a royal wedgie usually does the trick. LOL!
(Won't you all be glad when I go back to work and don't have as much time to blabber on line!)
