The Rainbow Bridge

By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill,
Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still.
Where the friends of man and woman do run,
When their time on earth is over and done.

For here, between this world and the next,
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.

No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed,
Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.

They romp through the grass, without even a care,
Until one day they start, and sniff at the air.
All ears prick forward, eyes dart front and back,
Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack.

For just at that instant, their eyes have met;
Together again, both person and pet.
So they run to each other, these friends from long past,
The time of their parting is over at last.

The sadness they felt while they were apart,
Has turned into joy once more in each heart.
They embrace with a love that will last forever,
And then, side-by-side, they cross over… together.

Thank you for putting this together, it's great, especially because it has the cutest chow in the world, Tinker in it.

Sorry, I'm kinda biased.

That is so sad, but beautiful. It's kinda nice to think they are all together running free.
Love how you did the video - I'm always envious of creative people

This is awesome! Today is my first day on this website, wish I had known about this when I had my best friend, Sashema, who passed away October 17, 2000 at the age of 14. I will never forget her.

Jeff,

This is truly a lovely video.

I sure wish that I could have you add a picture of my beautiful red Mozart aka MoMo but my older scanner is not compatible with my comuter and I never updated it...so could you please add his name. He was the 1st of my chow clan and was such a great chow boy.

Thank you,
Sharon

Thank you Jeff for adding Sher and Sezer to the beautiful memorial, I have emailed this to a friend of mine, she has had Chows for years, and was the Chairman of the Chow Chow club of Gauteng, she said she cried when she saw how beautiful you had done it. I will be adding more of my chows that have passed soon and would you please include them for me if you have space.
Love
Carolyn
