Have any of you ever seen your chow chow WAG his/her TAIL in their SLEEP!!!??????

I was sitting here reading posts and hubby is beside me watching TV and all of a sudden we both at the same time turn and catch Special wagging away in his sleep.

We laughed so hard, too cute I tell you!

Sure, Butters does wag his tail in his sleep too. As well as growling, whining, chasing. You name it. It is funny to watch, Don't you wonder what they are dreaming about that makes them so happy.

Running ,growling,whining,snoring,Don does it all!!

The puppies run and bark and wag their tails.Bet they dream about chasing squirrels.

LOL, we've seen the running, snoring, just one paw moving and the whining/faint barking, but no growling yet. I so badly want to get the whining/faint barking on tape, it's about the cutest sound I've ever heard.

Riley does the huffing and puffing, plus the chasing and wagging the tail while he sleeps.

My husband calls them Riley's puppy dreams

awww, I have not ever seen Precious or Naomi wag their tails in their sleep. Seen their feet wiggle like they are running, even hear some faint growling or like they are trying to bark - but no tail wagging. I'll look out for that. Sounds like it would be soo cute!

I had a rescue greyhound when I was a kid. His name was Ribs and he would lie on his side and run in his sleep, literally moving all 4 legs as tho he were galloping toward the finish line. It was hysterical!

It's funny, some of the actions they commit when they are asleep. Bear always used to "whimper" during dreams. Also had teh leg shakes. Only happened about once a month, but I would gently wake him up,and tell him it was a bad dream.

Colonel is quite active in his sleep!
He does it all.
So far, he mostly whines (asleep or awake) when his daddy is gone.

Butters has actually woke himself up by barking. He then looks around the room as if we were the ones making the noise.!! Funny

I've heard other people day their chows or dogs wake themselves up when barking in their sleep and then look around, that must be soooooooooo cute!

With a previous chow that we had, he only ever barked one time....and that was in his sleep!

He never barked at all apart from that once!

Shiloh has awakened herself several times with barking - which is funny cuz she seldom barks when she's awake!
I've watched Mr.N running in his sleep - his front paws were twitching at a good pace - he must have caught whatever he was after cuz of that big smile he had
