Underweight chow?

I bought my chow exactly about a month ago on April 3rd. She was born January 11th. At her first vet visit she weighed 2.8 lbs and got her 2nd set of shots and the vet confirmed she is healthy. I took her to the vet today for her 3rd set of shots and she is now 6lbs. I feed her 3 times daily, am I doing something wrong here?
