I bought one after I read the post on here...think it was around March/April. Ping was blowing her puppy fur and it worked great for that. I haven't used it in a while. Personally, I'm not sure if it was worth the price I paid. I think it was between $30-40.

I don't know about the tool of which you speak, but the tool in the photo on the right has 2 rows of teeth, one row longer than the other. takes out loose undercoat like nobody's business. The girl's groomer sold it to me, and swears by it. It is the one she uses. 14 bucks.

Two grooming tools I would recommend:

1. Spring-loaded *long* coat rake with longer rotating pins to glide through coat and which adjusts to body contours.

2. 35mm pin brush, designed for *long* and dense coats. Pins are about twice the length of average pin brushes.

Here's a link with a photo of the 35mm brush with the extra long pins. The black rubber base denotes a firm brush for *rough*, long double-coat breeds. (There is also a light colored rubber base brush for *silky* long coats). The brush is called "Because I am #1"

The rake I referred to is called "Mikki Rotating Contour Rake - *Long Tooth*". There are probably other similar brands. Just make sure you get the long tooth version.

Auddymay, you are too funny.
I looked at the photo w/ the "tools" & the expression on your furballs face is like "mom...don't show me like this"
How cute!!!!!!
