Is this a pure Chow Chow?

Hi everybody. I'm thinking of buying a chow chow and I saw this ad on an online store. Do you think the puppy on the right (cinnamon) is a pure chow chow? Thanks.

looks like a pure chow, just not a well bred one. Anyone breeding puppies should be able to show you health certificates on the parents. They should be able to show proof that the puppies have been to the vet and had their first shots.

Those babies need a responsible home regardless of their breeding being perfect or not. Just saying.

Based on the photo imprint, i would say these pups are in the philipines.

I have been well schooled by our members in that area of the world on past posts. Chows in that area tend to be more of an athletic build, with narrower muzzles. i am still not thrilled with the ear set on those pups, but would welcome some input from those more local.

That being said, MaiKinda is correct regarding health certs and they should also be able to produce docs on the lineage. For the most part, pet stores have become non-existent in my part of the US, and you almost always have to deal directly with a breeder or a rescue org. On-line posts still exist, but again, its 99% with the breeder directly.

I think every Chow deserves a home. I just want people to be aware when they buy a puppy. I don't support backyard breeders or pet stores. There are many puppies in rescue that need and deserve a home.

Definitely from the Phils! sulit.com.ph is our version of craigslist. Best price for goods. I would not buy a chow from anyone but a breeder though and make sure they have papers. Puppy Mills abound in the Phils and with any dog loving country so it may be pure breed but a sickly inbred one or looks pure breed but mixed with Japanese Spitzes which is a common dog breed. Spend a little more for a dog with records and family history and you will be spared from vet bills and heartaches later on when the dog passes away too early.

If you do not intend for them to be show dogs go ahead and buy the cinnamon one. All dogs deserve to be raised In a loving home

Poorly breed or highly breed, these puppies definitely deserves a home. If im gonna buy these pets, i will make it sure that the price would not be that high.
