Best Puppy Food

Post by Fidel »

We are currently feeding Fidel Bil-Jac....(ok, no heart attacks)....I know the first year is the most important with their food, so what is a great cost-effective puppy food to feed him?

If you do a search for food on this site - you'll find a ton of posts.

We just got Cabo completely switched over to Nutro large breed lamb and rice puppy food which was recommended here plus my vet thinks it's a great choice for Cabo.

By looking at Cabo's expression, I'm not sure what he thinks of his food, ha!ha!

Is anyone feeding Inova EVO? What do you think of it? Just wondering about the 42% protein and 22% fat content. It is supposed to be very close to feeding raw, but I've read some threads elsewhere about kidney problems.

I fed EVO only briefly because of the high protein content. Nina did not do well on it and Rogan hated it. The people that I know that feed EVO have high-drive, high-working dogs. So overall on my list of foods, it wasn't the best.
