Jazz needs good thoughts and prayers....

Post by Tippsy'smom »

A couple days ago, I took Jazz in to the vet for him to get a dental cleaning (would've been his first). We had done all the previous blood panels and test the vet wanted to do before doing the cleaning...

Long story short, because I'm starting to cry... We almost lost my Jazz-Man. Apparently, he's allergic to the anaesthetic... The vet has kept him for the past couple days to make sure he's ok now. And as long as he's given the all clear, he should be coming home this afternoon.

So, good thoughts and prayers for my big boy are greatly appreciated. Thanks y'all.

Sure hope Jazz is okay now! Make sure you find out what the name is that he's allergic to and write it down in case there is an emergency you will know the name and ask them what you should use from now on!
Get better Jazz-Man....

So glad Jazz pulled through and is home.

This would be the first I've heard of a chow being allergic to Isofluorane gas or did the vet use something else such as an injectable anesthesia, which you can't control like the gas?

Thank y'all so much for the thoughts and prayers. Jazzy-Bear came home Friday afternoon and he seems to be 100% back to normal after this scare. I've just been spending time with him and yesterday he went with me to a good friend's house to hang out while my friend, some of his friends, and I started on our big haunted house project for Halloween. He's been his happy, lovable self the entire time. Though, at home he is a little more clingy... And my parents have allowed him to be back in the house now.

I've got the name of what cause the allergic reaction written in his folder that I keep all his info in and the vet has it marked in his records with them.
