He's a mix, but most likely mostly chow. He's very handsome too.

A gorgeous GSD & Chow mix. My Iggy, who has now crossed over, was one & had a complete purple tongue. He was a rescue but I knew the lineage (long story)...mom purebred & dad chow shepherd. My vet said in order to have the complete blue/black (I always called purple) tongue that meant he had gotten the majority of his genes from his momma or chow side (kinda like children who take more after mom than dad).
I pray your baby is like mine was...the best of both worlds...absolute beauty with the best temperment & loyalty anyone could ever want.
