cant catch a break.............

evening all.
on monday i went for an mri on my back. i was supposed to go last august but somethin happened with the insurance pre certification and i didnt get it, but they pre approved the mammo at that time, and most of you know the rest, so i promised myself when that was all taken care of i would finally go for my back problems. so i went.
while i was taking the test the tech said he saw something and needed to do the rest of the test with contrast for better results. that should have told me something.
i called the dr this afternoon for my results, expecting him to say that " yeah you still have bulging and herniated discs." but of course it couldnt be that simple. it seems that the report shows "something" that they dont like, so he wants me to take my results to an oncologist to look at. i am trying not to freak the f@#$ out. i told my sister and begged her not to mention anything to my parents cause i dont want them worrying if its nothing, but of course my mom called me and her voice went from cracking to full blown balling while we were on the phone. i just keep thinking why me??? is this the big guy upstairs testing me or something???? I used to believe that expression " GOD DOESNT GIVE YOU ANYTHING MORE THAN YOU CAN HANDLE' . now, not so much.
ive been pretty strong going through what i did, some days i dont even think about it. then i see my scars and i stop and think how lucky i am.
anyway, wish me luck. im going to pick up all my results and consult with an oncologist hopefully next week.

Janet, I woke up thinking about you this morning and am saying prayers that they have good news

evening all. i am still in shock from hearing about onyx. knocked the wind right out of me. and to think that my fish died today and i was upset over that. i often wonder what the hell the big guy is thinking. honestly.
anyway, the doctor didnt really have much to tell me(i kinda thought this beforehand). he said the chances of it being the same cancer that i had in my boob are pretty unlikely. there definately is something in the marrow between the vertabrae though. he's sending me for a PET/CT scan. im to understand that it detects any "cancer cells" in your entire body, if there are any.i asked why this was never done before considering i had cancer and he said because all of my lymph nodes in that area came back clean, that it wasnt neccesary at the time.
so god forbid it is something it will show up. they are trying to pre certify the test asap, so hopefully it will get done in then next week or two. now heres the thing. i am going to find out 2 to 3 days after the test.good ,bad, or ugly.arrrggh! more waiting. that patience is a virtue crap is alot of $hit.lol.
i cant thank you all enough for your care, concern and support. you guys are the $hit!!(as we say here in the boro of brooklyn,lol)
and btw, sharon is one truly amazing and selfless lady.
so everyone please keep us in your prayers, and again thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Thanks for posting. I went to bed wondering what your outcome was from the day. In fact, I had a difficult time concentrating at work yesterday with worrying about you, Jeff, Vicki, Sharon...you name it. It does seem like when it rains, it pours. It's strange that I have more interaction with people on this board than I do with my own family.
