ChowChow.org Forum Moderators and Terms of Use
Hello all Chow Chow forum members,
Recently over the last few months there have been a handful of topics that have had some very heated discussions. By heated I mean that some forum members are being rude, inconsiderate, or even directly attacking other members on the forum, based on the topics posted. Some of this might be unintentional as many of us are very passionate about what we believe and write with our feelings. While this is a public forum and we encourage a free flow of information and ideas on the forums, we also expect you to act like you would if you were in a public place. Be respectful of other forum members and its moderators.
Many people come to the ChowChow.org site and forums come looking for guidance to help their situation with a Chow Chow. While many of us know and strongly believe that supporting breeders, pets shops, puppy mills, abandoning animals, abusing animals, ect., is wrong and people need to be educated about why it is wrong and how it impacts our world. It is perfectly fine to help educate people to make better choices about animals and their Chow Chows, but do so in a professional manner that does not insult or personally attack them. Often times people don't even know why it is wrong because it is all they know. So when replying or posting a topic, be mindful of how your writing it and if you keep it on a positive and educational side you will often find that people are very receptive and appreciative for learning how to best deal with their situation.
The ChowChow.org forums are a moderated forum. I have entrusted a handful of members and contributers to help moderate the forums. You can see each of them in the ChowChow_Admin group. I have a great deal of respect and appreciation for them as they generously give their time to help keep the forum in order and help members with questions about our site and forum. They are the peacekeepers and are here to ensure that all visitors enjoy their stay. This means enforcing the Terms of Use policy. Additionally they strive for the same goal of helping the betterment of the Chow Chow breed. So please remember when a moderator moves, locks, deletes, splits a topic or post, submit a warning, banned someone, that they doing it in the best interest of the ChowChow.org forum. They deserve respect and appreciation for their time.
Since our moderators cannot be everywhere and see everything, I have created a Forum Issues forum. If you see something that is against the Terms of Use policy, please report it on Forum Issues. Note that the moderators have the final say-so in any situation that you report to Forum Issues. They will evaluate the situation on a case-by-case basis and take appropriate action where needed.
While I'm not a big fan of order and structure, unfortunately as the ChowChow.org forums grow and more people get involved there are bound to be issues that need to be addressed with some guidance. With all of this I have added a lot of guidelines to the ChowChow.org forum Terms of Use policy. Please read through it and follow the guidelines when posting on the ChowChow.org forums. I have included a link to the Terms of Use in the forum footer bar so that it can be accessed anytime, anywhere within the forums.

Re: ChowChow.org Forum Moderators and Terms of Use
I just found and joined. I have 2 Chow Chows. They are true brothers Teddy Bear 7 And Renzi 5 I've had Teddy since he was 4 mos. and Renzi since birth. I love them both, they are my children and protectors. We're together just about always. They love going in the car and meeting people. Teddy is the friendliest, Renzi is a little shy because he has a club foot. They are the most lovible dogs I've ever had. They are always well behaved. They are my first Chows. In the apartment house I live in they have trained the neighbors to give them treats. Here they are the community owned pet. Everyone maakes a fuss over them. More people in this community know them better than the town leaders. Those who don't know me by name say "you know Teddy's mommy" They're the best thing that has ever happen to me. I'm glad I found your site. THANK YOU

Very happy to be apart of anything Chow. I live in Belize, a very moist climate, so I'm interested in the health of my chows. I have a male (xia). I have a female ( Saq ). They are very different when it comes to their coats. Saq has no skin problems, Xia has terrible skin problems. Through this forum I hope to learn the best treatments for him. Thank you for this forum.
