This is really cool!! When I looked through a couple of my Chow books, I too noticed that they seem to have changed. It seems like the earlier chows have more open faces (less meat on them) than some of the show chows now.

Wow, just found this book also on e-bay (again, I'm not promoting..sorry if it looks that way)... I get so excited when I find interesting things on/about our chowlings.
Although not a photo, may be of interest to someone:

It's lovely! I'm sure she'd be happy to know that her Chows are being admired on this forum. :)

Kiwani, I didn't know how to put the photo, thanks.
Looks great. I bet she is.

Toyva: I bet if you ask Judy (M&M's mom) she wudn't mind helping you out. I too thought it was neat book. You know, I have an e-bay account & will e-mail the seller & see if he/she will bed the rules. I'll let you know what I find out.

Thats great. :D I would appreciate any information you might be able to get for me. I don't have an E-Bay account and have never shopped there so I don't know the in's and out's. Thank you! :D

Thanks for the info, Kiwani but, I'm really interested in the vintage copy because of my interest in the early 20th century. :)

Tovya, if you want the book, I believe if you win the bid that would be fine because money is money. The only thing you need to arrange is a UK shipping address. The seller could care less where the money is coming from, just as long as it is good. I would help you, but my brother does my e-bay bidding for me. Maybe a member with a paypal account or is familiar with the e-bay system can do the bidding for you and when the bid is won, the shipping address can be to a UK member (perhaps Judy, perhaps Laura M, perhaps Danny O'Connor). Then they can mail it to you. It doesn't seem too heavy of a book, so it'll probably cost a couple of dollars in postage.

Just a thought. Also, as an fyi, you have till the 10th of September till the auction for this item closes.

There are also two copies of the book on Alibris.com, but they are pretty pricy, so the one on ebay is a good deal if you can work out the shipping. Good luck.
I have had books shipped from the UK before. It takes awhile, but other than that is not a problem. He can put it in the Royal Mail and they will take it from there.

I also have an ebay and paypal account that I use frequently.

I am a certified pottery, porcelain and china restorer in my spare time and get jobs from my internet hits from all over from referrals and my web page.
I also bid on and buy old pieces that I can repair.

So if you ever need ebay assistance, I would be glad to help.
