I don't know what scabies or demodex is but most of us in here have had problems with our Chows skin conditions and the first thing we look at is what the Chow is eating. Change its diet to a better quality food, i would say no wheat, no corn and no sugur for starters. try the better quality foods for a few weeks and see if it helps. I don't know what the pet food availilbility is in Indonesia but start with the diet, maybe broil your own chicken and rice.
I just read about your earthquake so i hope you and your Chow made it through that ok.

Hello!
First, I do hope you and your family are safe from your recent earthquake. Second, I too do not know much about demodex and canine scabies. So I hope the links below with give you a start on knowledge about the conditions so you can be a step ahead. Along with Jeff's suggestion of food modification, I would get a second opinion with another veterinarian. Do you have others in your area that you can take your chow to get a second opinion. Does your chow associate with other animals that might be carriers of demodex? Do you know if its mom had the skin diseases?

I wish you luck. Please keep us posted. What you learn, someone else in the future may benefit.
