How can you distinguish between an open-faced and a closed-faced Chow Chow?
Hey everyone,
I have a 3-month-old Chow that the breeder claimed is a smooth coat, closed face type. After seeing some other pictures here, I’m starting to think the breeder might have just been trying to make a sale.
What do you all think?

Your Chow might differ due to genetics or breeding lines. For coat clarification, consult a vet or breed specialist. Speaking of health, if you're considering Bravecto without vet prescription, double-check safety and dosage with a professional to ensure your pup's well-being. Responsible care matters!

Smooth coat Chows typically have shorter, dense fur compared to rough coats, and the "closed face" type usually has less visible wrinkles around the muzzle. If you’re unsure, you might want to compare your pup’s coat and face structure to some confirmed smooth coat, closed face Chows or consult with a vet or a breed specialist.
