Bay Area Chow Fest- Chowloween Event

Hi all! Although this forum appears to be somewhat inactive, I wanted to make a casual post to raise awareness. If anyone happens to stumble across this forum and wonder what happened to the Northern California ChowChowFest. It used to be a bustling series of events going back years, but it looks like it's retired! Just to keep you in the loop, we've given it a fresh start and rebranded it as the Bay Area Chow Fest! We've been around since 2021 growing from 5 chows to over 25+ Chows! We are most likely going to cap out on this upcoming event! Quick heads up, I'm not officially connected to the original Northern Chow Chow Fest crew.

But let's move on from that topic. Read below for the upcoming details of our annual Chowloween Fest! Expect a new rollout of our Merch! Artist on site drawing more chows than you can count. Specialized goodie bags, costume contests with prizes, and more!

When: November 4th from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
Where: Stern Grove Dog Park, San Francisco, 100 Vale Ave, SF, 94132

Chows In Disguise Costume Contest
(11:30 am - 1:30 pm):
Dress your Chows in their most imaginative costumes! We'll be judging outfits in the categories of Best, Funniest, and Scariest. Cast your votes at our themed table for a chance to win some delightfully devilish prizes. Just a friendly reminder, you can't vote for your own furry friend! Stay to the end to see if you’re a winner
Spooky Portraits by Rasa
(12:00 pm - 1:30 pm):
We're thrilled to have the talented caricature artist, Rasa Vitalia, on-site to capture your Chows in their spookiest costumes for just $15. It's a keepsake you won't want to miss!

While you're wrapped up in these eerie activities, treat yourself to some delightful refreshments (feel free to bring your own, just send us a DM in advance), Bay Area Chow merch, socialize with other chows, and don't forget to claim your complimentary goodie bag!

This event is entirely free! However, if you appreciate what we do and want to support ChowFest's future endeavors, a small contribution would be deeply appreciated!

Free Parking: Street parking is available. Say hello, grab a name tag, and introduce yourself and your chow(s) to receive a name tag. Payment for your portrait(s) can be handled at the entrance with cash (preferred), Venmo, or Apple Pay. You'll receive a ticket which you'll hand to our caricature artist when it's your turn!
