That is a lovely picture of Bear, Stephanie. You have done very well - others have said it is very difficult to get a photograph of a black Chow Chow. :)
My Milly and Mabel are red chow girls and are quite easy to photograph - if they are in the mood of course, so you have done very well. :)

Purple kisses to you, Bear and Homer from Milly and Mabel.

p.s. Please forgive me, but I have forgotten who Homer is - I seem to think he is the cat! Am I right? :?

Homer is an Norwegian Elk Hound. A big pain in the butt too, but more photogenic than Bear.

Just wanted to say that I love all the new pictures! They are all so beautiful! Keep them coming! This is definitely my favorite discussion. I'd love to see more pictures even if you've already posted some of your furkids. I can never get enough of their cute little mugs!

Hugs,

Stephanie,

  I think you have told us who Homer is!

But I bet you love him a bit, even though he is a pain in the backside.

I bet you do!!

Purple kisses to three of you from M & M.XXXXXXXX

Why has the name of the breed been transelated to Elkhound?
It's kind of funny.. Beause Elk doesnt meen Moose in Norwegian.
And the Norwegian elkhound aka Norsk Elghund, is a haunting dog to moose. (Did I write the word moose right?)

sorry about my stupid question.

Taz,

you did write the word moose correctly - and don't worry about translation.

Very often translation from one language to another is not quite correct!

I love all the chow pictures too!!

So we've had all these lovely pictures of chows... I thought we needed a couple to giggle at. Here's chewie at about 5 months getting a bath. I couldn't stop laughing. He didn't even try to get out... just kept looking at me as if to say "you've got to be kidding me with this."

Enjoy-

Mandy & Chewie

Lucky you! We sometimes get a purple kiss but when our daughter visits she gets dozens. Milly and Mabel really love her and Carolyn loves them!

How do you all like this waggy chow?!!

Monica in Canada sent it to me a good while ago and I love it.

Avis (pics)

Post by Jazzy »

Hello everyone, I've been lurking on this site for a bit and just had to post some pics of Avis. She's a red chow (self-red, I think), five months old and of course, she is the sweetest dog ever.

This is her at about three months.

Image

This is her today after a brief run outside...
