Few Pictures i took today.

I took a few pictures of Kodi he is 16 months old...With shelby our 18 month old male Collie and Mia she will be 2 in Dec..There Are a few posts on How big some chows are..I just wanted to post a few to give you an example of how Big Kodi is...Shelby is 27 inches at the shoulders and 70ish lbs..Mia is 22-1/2 inches at the shoulders 51-52lbs...Kodi is close to 26 inches and 75-80lbs..and still growing actually so is theCollie his Dad was 85lbs Mom was 75lbs so he is going to do alot of filling out yet too..Hope you enjoy...

Hi Kitten1426,

I must say, you have some handsome kids there. I was wondering about Kodi's tail being white. I have a 7 mo. black female and I've noticed she has white hair in her tail. Is this normal coloring for black chows? I've always had goldens and collies so I'm not familiar with the chows coloring.

Just like my Chows, they do not like to show their face to the camera. Great looking group though!

No, not normal coloring for black, self red, or blue chows. Normally the tail is the same color as the rest of them. There is another black chow on this site with an all white tail and bum though, her name I think is Mia, she's been around for a while, her brother's name is Chutters, he's a cinnamon. I think the white tails and bums are pretty. Though not standard.

Your boy is beautiful and BIG, your girl is pretty too, but much more a normal chow size.

Thanks for the Kind words...We love our crew alot...Yes Kodi is Big...And im sure he will gain more weight as he gets older...he mite tips the scales 90 to maybe even over 90lbs...lol...Thats a BIG chow...
