Our baby Molly
Hi everyone,
I wasn't very sure on how to start in this forum, but hey, it's a "chow forum", so the best way should be to share some photos of me and my wife's baby, Molly.
When I was little our family had a pure black Chow named Cindy, who died of natural causes at age 14. I absolutely fell in love with her from the first day she arrived in our home. She followed me everywhere, and she even defended me when I was attacked by a doberman and a rottweiler, she didn't let them even touch me. We were inseparable until the day she passed and I grieved as if a family member had died, to me she was part of the family.
17 years later I finally decided to get another Chow, and after months of looking at pups and never getting that same "feeling" that I had with Cindy, I visited a Chow breederand fell in love with a pup who had the same bear like gaze and playful disposition as Cindy... I looked at her and thought "You look like a Molly" and I took her home with me.
Enough of my rambling, here's what matters, photos of Molly!
The pink props were my wife's idea... Thankfully the first thing Molly did when she woke up was to get that thing off her head... That's my bear!
!NEW PHOTOS ADDED!
Enjoy!

Yeah it's a bit different, and from the photos I searched online, very few pups show the same, although I found some. As she grows I wonder how the coat color will develop.Sirchow wrote:What a beautiful and unusual coloured chowbaby. Molly is a special girl and so lucky to have found you.

Thanks. I uploaded some more photos on the first post.Rory's Dad wrote:Welcome to the forum. Let us know if you need anything. And, she really is adorable. Congrats on your pup.
After we took her off the purina dry food and started her on Pedigree, she's twice as lively and doesn't sleep as much, she's been playing alot, especialy with her blanky, it's like having a kid a kid with very pointy teeth O_o
I've been training her to do her business outside 3 times a day, and so far so good... We do get the lil'ol yellow puddle every now and then, but I'm optimistic that when she reaches 3 or 4 months that'll be solved too... I hope

Re: Our baby Molly
Nice update...thanks. I think you will find her pretty easy to potty train, most Chows are. Leash walk her to an area and encourage her, and she should be fine. At her age, its still about bladder control, once that's grown into she will not want to dirty her home space.

Re: Our baby Molly
So... Um... It seems Molly likes cartoons and animated movies...
I walked into the living room and saw this...
Now all I have to do is get her interested in Portugal's soccer matches and I'll finally have some company!

Don't worry too much about the football sleepy, if Molly is anything like Rio she will love the footy, he likes to watch the ball go whizzing around, he also likes the ticker-tape at bottom of tv screen when the news is on, guess he has to keep up to date with current events!!!
