Aww she is as cute as a button and I love the name, look forward to seeing her grow. Wishing her good health for many many many many years.
Re: Introducing Isla
I have already been asked several times on Facebook how to pronounce her name so for the record and those that dont know it is pronounced eye-lah ![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Re: Introducing Isla
Thank you
She is the gentlest baby ever...while the others are feeding she comes round her moms head to me and climbs on my knee and snuggles up. She is like she knows me from another life or something. She also made a point of befriending Bramble who is so unimpressed by puppies they dont even exist most of the time. It is cute to see her gently work the room at three weeks!!!

Re: Introducing Isla
She is adorable and she looks very intelligent too. I see a lot of smarts and wisdom in those little eyes.

Re: Introducing Isla
I hope to see more pictures of Isla in the coming weeks Sirchow.
Isla by the way means a small island in my native tongue. We read it as Ees-Lah. I guess it is appropriate for her. Isla.

Re: Introducing Isla
Beautiful! And yes, Cam Atis is right. In our native language, Isla means a beautiful small island, more like a paradise.
fits her perfectly.

O M G Love you, Isla!
Re: Introducing Isla
Thank you everyone for welcoming my wee girl. She and her sister and brothers were outside for the first time yesterday and slept so much better for it. They are eating so much now and always demanding more. Must remember Sunday is worming day. Gotta love worming a four week old puppy
Rory's Dad I have never seen that way of spelling the the name. Normally it would be Ruairidh and is pronounced Roo-a-ry ....Not too much emphasis on the "a". It is Scottish Gaelic for Rory. Dont know if that helps![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: Introducing Isla
Well done my friend...i know the spelling is unique, i beleive its the Irish version, but yes you are correct. It is Gaelic for Rory, which of course, loosely translated, is Red King.

Re: Introducing Isla
The babies went out for the first time the day before yesterday and slept on the back door step most of the day...yesterday they were out again much of the day and last night they got their last meal at 11 o-clock and I was just settling them for bed when the two girls both went to the back door and asked to be let out to go potty. the others all folled them out and five teeny tiny chowlettes went potty on the dirt beside the doorstep. I was astonished ...they were only three weeks and five days. Chows are amazing, they trully are awsome ![Danceing \:D/](./images/smilies/eusa_dance.gif)

Re: Introducing Isla
Isla and the babies are four weeks old now and going in and out regularly. We have had a very few puddles on the kitchen floor but no poop accidents for four days....I am so proud of them. They are so cute when they go off into the inch long grass to find their private spot and circle round till they have the exact bit they want....just like grown chows...so cute
They are eating six meals a day and still suckling mom so it is a challenge to me to run my shop and look after them. I have to go home at lunch time and feed them and Izzie, and the only way to do it is to be extremely organised which is not really my nature but if not I find I forget to do something and it is a round trip of 13 miles so dont want to keep forgetting!
Already the fact they are leaving soon is looming up in my head. The only comfort is that while I am counting the days I have left the new owners are counting the days till they can come and get them. It is such a joy to see them grow and I will get to see Isla continue growing daily and the other two creams will be regularly walking buddies. Wish I knew where my last black boy was going.....it is a worry.......
