New here =)
Hi everyone we are new to this. Forums and Chows . We are Darren and Ciara and we live in Ireland. Introducing Choji enjoying the snow this Christmas . We are off to collect his lady friend in a few weeks. Happy new year everyone.
Re: New here =)
Welcome all of you .. Choji looks adorable and reminds me of Nikki when she was little. Hope you find the forum helpful.. I know I have had alot of questions answered and I most of the time didn't even have to ask them. Chows just have the same ways about them that one person asks and everyone usually has the same answer. Good luck with you chowpups and keep us posted .
Re: New here =)
Welcome! Beautiful picture! We don't even have that much snow here in Pennsylvania!

Well connemara is a very nice part of the country . Galway in general is very nice. We're about 2 and a half hours away in Donegal.

Welcome to the site.
What a beautiful picture of your chow.
You have had it cold as we have here in Cheshire - we have had a couple of nights at -16 and it was bitter.
Our girls love the snow here and played around so much.

Re: New here =)
There are not many chows here either.
When we got our first chow 11 years ago, we searched for months and there were no chow puppies in Britain. Then suddenly somebody told us a breeder in Cumbria had a litter due. We wanted a little girl chow and out of the litter of 6 there were two little girls. We bought one and 6 months later, we bought the other. Milly died a year last August but we still have Mabel and also two young chows who are 15 months old now - they are also litter sisters and they are gorgeous.
I bet you are looking forward to your new little black girly joining your family. Can't wait to see pictures.

Re: New here =)
We have had to go to england for our two but its only a short trip in return for the chow really . We wanted to get Choji some company and have been socialising him well with other dogs family of mine have husky's as well as others but the temperament just doesn't seem to suit . So it just has to be another chow for him which neither of us mind . Dont think either of us would want another breed now .
Re: New here =)
In the town where I live its mostly yellow and black labs that I see in the parks .. I have not seen another chow in our town \Iam sure there is one I just haven't seen it yet.. In 25yrs.
Well I hope Choji likes playing with his new mate soon.. and can't wait to see pictures of the 2 of them. Keep those pictures coming we love them..

Re: New here =)
That is very often the feelings of people who have a chow - no other breed will do. That is how we feel but at our age, these two are almost certainly our last chows.
We consider ourselves so fortunate to have two sets of litter sisters and such sweet creatures they are too.
Milly was such an absolute little "Snotty Totty" and Matilda is growing up that way too. Mabel is much sweeter and so is Maisie but I love them all. Fred is just besotted!
