Re: 7 month in san francisco
Hi All:
Bruin was at the NorCal Chow Fest this afternoon and he was a very good boy! He was very affectionate and he is so cute, and I think a very smart baby.

Bruin seems like a sweet boy. I'm glad he's in the right hands for now

That was Bruin?? When I saw that picture it immediately reminded me of Hannah. He looks like a lovey dovey.

I saw that booty and that nose in the lady's face and knew it was Bruin. He's still adorable so someone give him a good home...

Ooh I really wish I could adopt him unfortunately its really not a good time.
He seems like such a good boy. Has anyone been asking about him? He such a beautiful beautiful Chow. I would love for him to be adopted to a good home even its not mine. I'm in love Bruin.

Re: 7 month in san francisco
The "Lady" is MikkaBear's mom. She and Bruin were teamed up for the treat eatting contest but were disqualified PDQ! Reason: Cheating! Why: Before all the other contestants opened their bag of Charlie Bear's, "the Lady" had their bag open, dumped it in her hand and (you know Bruin with food), in one gulp, it was gone! Rules were to feed one by one. I think the two of them had a good time that day. Bruin was very much cared for at ChowFest by all the ChowFesters (biped and four-pawed).peidaan11 wrote:I saw that booty and that nose in the lady's face and knew it was Bruin. He has grown and is 39 lbs. He is a very "focused" fellow.
Anyone interested in adopting Bruin, please contact zingara_princepessa via PM on this site -OR- via e-mail (rocketdogjenn@gmail.com).

Re: 7 month in san francisco
Hey! I protest that comment! It was not a coordinated effort for us (Bruin and I) to cheat. Well, maybe. We just thought we could pull one over on you Lou, since there were so many dogs there, guess I'm a bad influence!!!!!
Yes, please someone adopt this boy. My husband has given a firm NO to this one and I am in chow purgatory until he decides he is done grieving over Mikkabear and ready to let another chowkid into our household.
Bruin is a good boy and will make a great companion!

If I could have a second chow, I'd snap Bruin up in a heartbeat, nevermind that I'm on the opposite coast! Right now I'm still waiting to see if I'll have a job come January, though, and Brandy and I are still adjusting and bonding to each other (oh, I'm bonded well enough, it's Brandy that's still in the process of bonding and feeling like she's found her forever home!) But that Bruin... oh my god... what a cutie. Please, won't someone give him a forever home so I can stop thinking about him??

This is a beautiful chowboy....I hope he finds a loving home...it's sad when someone tosses away a precious pet because they are unwilling to devote any time training them. Hopefully the previous owners will never get a pet again. He is just such a beautiful baby.

Re: 7 month in san francisco
I'm sorry Abbiegirl. Bruin's 4th mom did not "toss" him away. She lovingly brought her boy to one of the best rescues in Northern California for him to be taken care of. On the contrary, she saved him from being a statistic in the LA shelter system where Bruin's 3rd parent's were going to take him. Bruin's 4th mom and I are still in contact with one another regarding his health and behavior. She did not abandon this boy. She was a very good mom to Bruin, came to this site and asked many intelligent questions regarding raising this chowling. Additionally, she had two contingency plans with family should she not be able to take care of Bruin which fell through. So please do not judge a member's choice to post on the chow chows in need of home section. In the future she will be a great mom to a pet.Abbiegirl wrote:This is a beautiful chowboy....I hope he finds a loving home...it's sad when someone tosses away a precious pet because they are unwilling to devote any time training them. And you are correct. He is a beautiful chowboy and he will be at a forever home soon.

Bruin has been adopted and is at his new forever home now. He has two big sisters to call his own. I think his new sisters will be excited to have a baby brother to teach them how to catch butterflies!!! Miss PB and Tiggy are very happy!
