Chow Pup Teething

My 4 month old chow mix puppy max had only lost a tooth or 2 untill wed of this week when he literally lost 90% of his teeth half of them are just breaking the surface today and he seems in pretty obvious discomfort hes laying in the other room when usually he would be here tuggin at my socks trying to get me to play while i try and type. Does anyone have any suggestions for pain releif for him he just seems so down in the dumps i took him out for a good long walk this morning and he seems energized but uninterested in the usual things butterflies and grasshoppers and such. Hes got another checkup on monday with the vet but i just wanted to see if there was anything i could do till then.

a few tricks i have picked up has been flavoured ice cubes or carrot ice lollies that kinda thing.... chewing helps the adult teeth break through whilst the cooling effect helps soothe the gums, i am sure theres on the shelf specialist products on the market like teething rings that can be frozen non toxic for dogs and such like!

You can also take one of his favorite soft sqeeky toys and wet it totally and then put it into the freezer. (any soft, cloth toy will do)

Great ideas guys HE LOVES ICE! weve got a german shepard puppy we are watching for the weekend as well at the house and they are just a ball of furry fun all day long i wish i could take the entire weekend off work so i could stay home and play but ive gotta work so the friend gets to have fun with them
