So funny all my chows find what looks like the most uncomfortable positions to sleep in and they seem to be perfectly fine. It is just so cute love your chow btw. Oh who am I kidding I love them ALL! :D

Oh Nancy! that's so adorable!
Hey when you go on your trip across the pond take note for me some of the good places to visit out in the country side if you can. Brian and I are heading there for our real honeymoon (when we actually have more vacation time and money) next year sometime (hopefully). We're trying to spend 2 weeks over there and get to visit Scotland, Ireland, and England. Maybe I'll get to meet some of my relatives, who knows? Geez, even anyone on the forum. Good out in the middle of nowhere bed and breakfasts are preferable to hotel in the main cities. I'd rather get a real feel for it. Though admittingly I do want to see typical tourist stuff...but I long for the big open spaces of countryside, cliffs, mountains, sea, etc.

We don't have what an American would consider 'big open' as our whole island would fit in one of your larger States, but we do have some very scenic areas to visit.

The link above is a good place to start. We do however have lots of sea LOL.
Naughty TyChowgirl you missed Wales off your list, they have some beautiful areas too.

ACK! I did. Shame on me. What I meant to say was we hoped to visit each country for a little bit. Just in case we never get a chance to go back, though secretly I want to move across the pond when I get old and retire, live in the countryside, and be able to use my backyard as my canvas so to speak lol. Doubt it would happen. I'd miss family too much, but my independent spirit sometimes longs for it. Some of those pictures are "big open" though I guess I don't mean it as like traveling through Kansas and the other tornado alley states when you can see for miles...I like the water, forest, hillside combination. I mean the mostly unpopulated areas uncrowded by houses all over and cityscapes. That's my big open space, not crowded by people.

Lol! Thanks Nancy,Rio and Siriol. Siriol I will check out pictures. I've been longing to go to Scotland forever and was upset when they did the international schooling in Edinburgh the year before I went to school (I went to college at Edinboro haha University of PA. Aptly named I'm sure as the forecast is usually cooler and rainy...or snow. The weather has a mind of it's own) They did it again the year after I graduated and my friend got to go. She was nice enough to bring me back a thistle charmed necklace. Either way, like I said, typical tourist stuff...but would love to hang out in the countryside, small towns, what have you being from a small town myself, I love the charm of small towns...and I found a good excuse to go to Wales. We need to visit Cardiff to get a real glimpse of what it would be like to be a member of Torchwood ;) (Our tv channel is usually stuck on BBC America lol. You guys just have better television, really)
Sorry to go off the topic of Chow chows! hahaha. I still appreciate the responses
