Here she is.....my 9 week old smooth coat chow baby!

We've had her a week and already I can't imagine my life without her!

Elodie, her fur so the softest baby fur I have ever felt, it's "plush" (like the stuffed animals Gund brand).
Her fur will always be short...I think the smooth coat is actually the dominant gene but there aren't too many of them around (here in the states) because the rough coat is more popular. "Jonathan" on this site has a smooth coat rescue and he's really cute....

She's very feisty and has me wrapped around her little paw already...I'll post more pictures soon!

and ps yes, I agree a visit to SF is in order!

Jacqui, I think my mom would have been ready to settle for the pumpkin after I woke her up at 6:15am this morning, and then got into the planter, and then peepeed on the carpet, and then barfed on the floor after zooming around like crazy....

Oh my gosh! I just saw the pictures and let me tell you she is a little angel made out of CUTENESS!!!!!

In the first photo she looks like a little Chowling batman

Smooth is dominant, it takes a rough gene from each parent to make a rough, where only one gene (one parent or the other)will make the smooth. We don't have many smooths in the US, and the ones that carry a rough and a smooth gene, as opposed to a double smooth, will only produce smooths half the time.

Natasha is beautiful. Most smooths I have seen have been red. One cream smooth posted photos about 2 years ago, but never participated. Natasha is stunning with her black coat, and I agree, they remind me of plush Gund Bears. Definitely, a San Francisco coming out gala may be just the ticket! The Auntie's would simply gush!
