Steel here...

Mom came home from work today with these things called "teady grahms" for my human brother Mikey. Mom let me have one... $\:D/$ It was so good, I spun around..

in hopes that Mom would give me another for doing those rediculas things that make them get all wierd and mooshy and wanna hug and kiss you... You know what I'm talken about...

No dice.. Mom said.. no no.. these are not good for you, you are lucky you got one. So... I sat.. and watched her. Then I left to go lay under the table ... (time for operation teady bear)
She sat at the table with Mikey and they were eating the teady grahms.. then.. Mikey left to go upstairs and mom went to ... well I don't know where she went... so... I chowcrawled out from under the table.. checked both ways up and down.. no one.. no one in sight... I chowcrawled over to Mom's chair.. check for any movement again.. NONE.. so I put my paws up on the chair.. JACK POT... I grabed the box and did a double check again for movement and off to the couch I went. I had to have them.. you don't understand... so I had to eat them... and eat them fast.. cant leave evidence. I got about 10 of them and all of the sudden... MOM... "STEEL, GIVE ME THOSE... I TOLD YOU NO NO!"... Chowdudes... I had to do it... I gave her the look with the tilt of the head... She gave me 1 more and took the box...

Yeah.. thats how it's done ... I've got her chowed... if you know what I mean...

Gee, Steel, you don't have your Mom very well trained! Mine gives into my cute tricks all the time and shares her food with me. I even have her cooking meat for training snacks. She's a bit dense at times but overall fairly trainable.

Yesterday we were laying on the bed and I had my butt toward her (which is the proper way to lay on a bed with your human). She was rubbing my belly and then she just STOPPED .. so after a few seconds, I kicked my back foot and smacked her in the face, and sure enough she started rubbing my belly again. You just have to be tougher than the humans. We're already smarter.

Absolutely Correct, Exhausted Leader! and Well Done!!

JR is designing infiltration courses for both indoor and outdoor training. The indoor will stress proper use of furniture for concealment, just as you did on the Great Teddy Graham raid. The outdoor course will be built around the use of bushes and tall grass, but will also need to emphasize zoomie-like speed for that final dash to the target and the escape. We should be able to get all the new Chowboys up to speed by the end of summer, if it doesn't get too hot to practice.

JR here....I am sneaking on the puter real quietly....my Mom is trying to rest...she has one of those real bad human things that make loud, bad noises from her nose and throat and she uses those small pieces of paper all the time by her nose.
I will have all of my work finished by the weekend, I hope.
I asked Cheyenne to help with the notes and stuff but she us a BUM...all she wants to do is roll over on her back for belly rubs.

Well if you want my opinion, it's your mom's fault that you have had to start stealing good treats! I mean, who do they think they are, teasing us all the time with foods and snacks with a smell that makes our mouth water, they sit there eatting and tell us not to beg. Or walk away from something yummy to get something else yummy and say "guard my plate", whats with that!
Mom says stuff like dogs don't eat taco's, dogs dont eat M&M's, I want to say "um excuse me, I'm a Chow, NOT a dog and yes, this Chow would love a taco thank you! This Chow would love some M&M's". If its good enough for them to eat, it should be good enough for us to. They eat the meat right off the steak then hand us a bone and act like they did a good thing. Just something not right about that.
So buddy, don't feel bad about it, you did what you had to do.
I'm not ranting.

hey steel, good work!!! we do some crazy stuff to our mom too. we LOVE them orange curly crunchy things, i think they are called cheeze doodles. what a weird name! they should just be called no's. cause thats all mommy says when we beg and steal them. me and my lil brother mr bigz see our mommy laughing at us when she turns her back. she tries to act all serious, but she doesnt know we can see her. hey, we are chows, we also have eyes in the back o our heads, just like mommy.

Way to go Steelo! What a great trick to get those treats. I have to practice the chowcrawl, tho, cos I haven't had to do it very much. Mommy used to share her meals with me all the time. Then the silly vet said "no! no! no!" and she STOPPED! cold turkey on people food, this chowgirl was really upset! Now she will give in if I look all cute, do headstands and head tilts. But only for a bite or two. Thats just enough to make my mouth watter! Arg! What to do with our humans!

(And Peanuts daddy has always said NO so she doesn't know what she's missing, but she hogs the doggy treats. I gotta train her too)

I me again...MR. JR and Cheyenne is guarding the door so that Mom will not see us on the puter.

Any how we have it down pat...the "LOOK" that is. I stick all my rib bones out so that I look underfed..But Cheyenne cant do that cause she is pretty round now...but Mom and Dad always feel sorry for us and we get "stuff" like sardines, tuna, chicken and things. We both make these awful noises also, especially, my "sissy" Cheyenne...she grunts and groans and I bark in a whiney way...that really does it for the treats!!!

Mikki here. When I first arrived in this home, two cats were already in resident here. Phoebe cat does her nightly rounds. She's a gymnast. She's able to jump on the kitchen counter.

Anything palatable she pushes off and it lands right in front of my nose. Stupid mommy forgot to put the fish head and fins in the garbage, my, oh my, that tasted good. I like Phoebe, fat boy Max can barely make it up the couch, he's cool though, never scratches me.
