Is this a Chow?!
Hi all!
We are strongly considering adopting this pup who the rescue says is chow/husky mix. As chow owners, do you see Chow traits in this pup? She is 6 weeks old in this picture (the last two pictures taken outside are her). Do you think she will grow-up to have strongly wide/rounded chow snout or the more pointed husky snout? How fluffy do you think she will be?
The first two pictures are our beloved dog who passed away. One where he is a puppy, and one where he is full grown. He was also a rescue, and DNA test had chow & husky as his predominant breeds (although the shelter listed him as a samoyed ). Do you see this new dog looking like our old dog? What differences do you see?
Sorry, I know this sounds like a silly question -- and we will love the dog no matter what -- we are just trying to get a better grasp of what she will look like! Our old dog loved swimming -- and I'm not sure that a dog that is more Chow would. Any insight is appreciated!! We would be making a long trip to adopt her!

Doesn’t look like my Bear, when he was a puppy.

Re: Is this a Chow?!
I don't think the adoption people know what they are talking about. I don't think that the puppy has either breed in it. Chows and Husky's both have ears that stand naturally and neither of them have a curly coat. I wouldn't worry about any Chow traits. It is a very cute puppy though, and I'm sure it would be grateful to get a good home.
No matter where you go, there you are.
