Jeff is right, food with no bi-product, that is very important. I feed ProPlan Lamb and Rice to all of my Chows, they are all very healthy and love it. Occasionally I will get the itchy dog, I try to keep them on Grizzly Salmon Oil, but it gets expensive with a lot of dogs, but it will stop any itch...

His testicals shouldn't be hard and they probably won't be that large at his age. He sounds like a pretty big fella to be that weight at 6 months.
