Congratulations on your new chow girl. We rehomed Stormy back in April. We didn't hear her bark for almost a month... we were beginning to think she didn't have a voice. Now we call her Barky McBark Bark ;-) Give her time to adjust. She needs time to build confidence in her new surroundings :) Shelly

I have a dog treat jar (purchased at the pet supply store). Whenever, my two don't come when I call them, I shake the jar full of treats and they come running. I praise them once they come to me and hand over a treat.

Too funny! In my case Kona (not the puppy) would wait for me to get off the pot and flush so he could drink the toilet water. Fresh water bowls every where in the house and two outside and he prefers to drink fresh toilet water. YUCK!!!
