I think you’re both right Whitby and I rescued each other and it was meant to be.
Whitby says “Thank You” and is sending all of you purple kisses for your birthday wishes to her.

I live in Pennsylvania and I’m so-o-o ready for Spring. I thought some of you might get a chuckle out of the following considering all of the crazy we’ve been having here in the United States. It’s from my Page-A-Day dog calendar. Can dogs predict the weather? According to the following note left in...

Such a cutie! I was having a rough day at work yesterday. At breaktime I came to cc.org as I often do. I clicked on this forum to check out the latest pictures. Loved the snow picture of him and then continued thru the post. The “bath” pictures made me laugh. I guess I have a "off-the-wall"...

My thinking is - You live with Loki and you know his normal energy level and behaviour. If what you are observing isn’t normal – bring it to your vet’s attention. I agree with Maikinda. I’d ask the vet to adjust the dosage of Loki’s medication. I’ve walked in your shoes. I rescued Whitby roughly 2 ½...

Hi Debra, Just read your post on Reggie’s behalf. It brought tears to my eyes. Poor fellow! Just look at that sad face. I have a thought/suggestion - you might have more success finding him a home if you also put this post in the “Chow Chows That Need a Home” forum in the “Adoptions” section. More p...

Chloe On My Mind
I woke up this morning with thoughts of Chloe running through my mind. It was 3 years ago today that my beautiful red 15 yr. old Chloe left my side and crossed over the Rainbow bridge. :( As I write this tears are running down my cheeks. Today is a cloudy, snowy day. The day I rescued/adopted Chloe ...

3 Cheers for Dec. 17th
The first cheer goes out for Whitby! Two years ago today I made an 8 hour road trip through a blizzard in northern Ohio to meet up with “Santa Paws” to rescue Whitby and give her a new home with me in Pa. I found her through the help of this site. It’s hard to believe that I’ve had Whitby 2 years al...

Whitby vs toy
I have a few of the Christmas animated musical animals. They move around & sing/play a song when you touch a certain spot on them. Whitby DOES NOT like them. When on is activated, she barks like crazy at the toy. I had one sitting on the deacon’s bench in the kitchen on Saturday. I was working i...

Just a thought/suggestion – you might have some success in finding her a home if you also put this post in “Chow Chows That Need a Home” forum on this web site. She sounds like a great dog for someone who would like an older chow. I’m partial to older dogs. My Whitby was 6 when I rescued her 2 yrs. ...
