Looks more like a traditional chow rather than the overbred for show dogs with eyes you can't even see. The excessively short snouts, wrinkles, recessed eyes are just a recipe for health issues down the road.

I just registered, been looking at the forum on and off for a while. Currently have a large cream boy, just turned two.
Got him from Houston ChowChow Connection little over a year ago. Great rescue, good folks to deal with.

My last chow, black female, had a curled tail with a little hook at the end. You couldn't see it but it would occasionally catch the leash of one of our other dogs when out walking. She would get unhappy when you would untangle her but other wise no problem. She lived to 16 1/2.
