Sad news about former member - Janet
I haven't posted on here in a few years but I think there are still a few folks that might remember Janet from Brooklyn. She had 2 gorgeous black Chows Mr Bigz and Luna. Her sons have said she was moved to a hospice facility' where she's receiving excellent care and enjoying her favorite snacks and ...

Re: Sad News. Jeff (Jeff and Peks)
I'm so sorry to hear the news. For those of you that weren't fortunate enough to know Jeff (and Pekoe) you really missed a character. Jeff loved Pekoe so much and truly loved the breed. He was responsible for saving so many chows and donating tons of money to help others rescue them. The world is mi...

Re: Pudding: from Austin to Atlanta
Here's a pic of Pudding after getting to her temp foster home in San Antonio. Her owners said she didn't like other dogs, but she was having fun with her foster brother. She's a sweet girl and couldn't wait to get out of the shelter.

Re: Pudding: from Austin to Atlanta
Sand is the chow coming from GA to TX. I've heard rumors that part of the transport may be videotaped for a tv show. I think it's called Shipping Wars. We're hoping this sytem works out because it'll really open up some opportunities for rescue. We have a lady in Ohio that wants one of our boys so s...

Re: life changing relocation - 14 year old chow chow
Only you can make the right decision regarding your chow. We can give advice, information, etc, but the decision is ultimately yours. I'm not here to judge you or give you a hard time, I just want to tell you my stories. I'm the crazy chow lady in San Antonio (actually south of San Antonio). I came ...

Re: Vacuum Cleaner suggestions
I don't post on here much anymore, but I think if you do a search you'll find other discussions on vacuums. It seems everyone has a favorite. Personally, I love my Dyson. I bought it used in early 2006 and it's still going strong. I bet I've had at least 30 different chows/mixes in my house since th...

Re: MY FIRST AND LAST BEAUTIFUL CHOW
The family has made the excruciating decision to let Chocolate go. I went to visit him earlier this week and sadly didn't think he could be rehomed. Chocolate was a beautiful chow that was dearly loved by his family. They are heartbroken, but feel they made the best decision for the safety of their ...

I have two co-workers that swear by netbooks (mini laptops). They run about $300. Maybe you can save up and get one of those. Starbucks offers free wi-fi and there are other places that do as well. I'd hate for you to leave us. We enjoy the Sheena and Troy stories so much.

Re: Questions about adopting adult chows
Congrats on your decision to adopt an adult chow. I've never had the pleasure of adopting a puppy, but have adopted 5 chow/mixes in the past few years. They ranged from 9 years to about 7 months when they came home with me. I will admit the older ones caused the least amount of trouble. Tod w...

I'm with you Bubba...I'll take the dry heat over the humidity any day. I went TDY to Tucson a few times...I thought it was great. I remember this shaved ice place called EG's (I think). It was awesome in the summer time.

Glad to hear you all made it one piece. I don't understand some people either..."i'm afraid of chows, so I want to come near yours". boneheads The furkids will adapt to the new digs soon enough. We've been in triple digits for almost a month and they stay inside most of the time. Enjoy you...

Poor things, but it's good to get those things done and out of the way sooner rather than later. I know what you mean about feeling like you're abandoning them. I always cry in the parking lot.
Please M&M to feel better soon so Mum can stop worrying so much.
