Re: Toilet training and Holiday plans
A bit more info. Piff & Poff's idea (can't believe I wrote that... LOL!) about using a ramp is a good idea.  The only thing is if you've ever seen Ming trying to go up or down a ramp with his slippery claws, sliding about with four legs east, north, west and south, ha ha, it 'aint f...

Re: Toilet training and Holiday plans
Hi again Alexandra! Here is my tip for toilet training which I accomplished with Ming in a couple of days and never used puppy pads inside or outside the house. The idea of course is to get him to go as near to , or outside of (the dreaded door down the dreaded stairs). Ho hum... All dogs pee on the...

Re: Introducing Daisy
Know all about it. My rocket scientist Vet told me to use wax earplugs and put a muzzle on Ming.. with the result that I overslept, missed several appointments and Ming couldn't eat or drink!! Gave it up as a bad job in the end and now just grin and bear it. After all, I love Ming more than any old ...

Re: NOT SURE IF I AM GETTING SCAMMED!! NEED YOUR OPINIONS
Thanks for caring together with me chow4life, as I too feel for your Matilda. What IS it that makes humans do this?? The money? Yeah, the money. $-) $-) The ridiculous thing is that I had no intention whatsoever of owning a dog of any kind as I had just lost my great big fat Balinese siamese cat Pho...

Re: NOT SURE IF I AM GETTING SCAMMED!! NEED YOUR OPINIONS
Hi! Christina here. I read your topic and all the email stuff with some interest as I had a similar experience with my Chow Ming. Firstly, its difficult from any distance on this planet to decipher what somebody is REALLY saying via the written word. Reading between the lines of the correspondence w...

Re: alternate pooping spot when rains
Excellent input Cocoa! =D= =D= As I read it I felt like I was looking though a long mirror to Ming, more or less exactly the same behaviour, his and mine. I have mentioned before in this topic that Ming has never ever pooped not even in the yard and will only pee on a little red mat in the centre of...

CRATE?
There are a lot of differences between the English and American written languages, between nouns and verbs. i.e. Car boot/car trunk, lift/elevator, bring/take etc. So, I am very curious. I have seen the word "crate" mentioned in several posts and that some of you put or keep your chows in ...

Very well said!! Bravo! Bravo! To me, Me&Tess, you will always be a "nice" chowlie person and what you say is 100% correct. Loving a chow means also suffering periods of GUILT!!  Ming also has his own routine and I know it backwards. There have been times, though not many,...
