Re: Need help. Are these foods healthy?

I don't know what the ingredients are for any of the dog foods you are using. Ideally they are made from mostly meat, and no corn. I'm unclear how much you are feeding Mochi. Do you mean 4 cups three times a day, or four cups divided up into three meals? Because 12 cups would definitely be overfeed...

Need help. Are these foods healthy?

Hi. Up to this time I'm still confused and worried if I'm feeding Mochi the right food. I feed him 2 cups of Beef Pro, 2 cups of Vitality High Energy and a spoon of PEDIGREE® Meaty Ground Dinner With Chunky Beef, Bacon & Cheese 3 times a day. Is that okay? I still don't know for the treats. I ju...

Your response to this.

What if someone says your chowchow is a traitor? That he's going to smack you, bite you, his/her master, anytime. That he's not a toy dog. That he's lazy. That he's dangerous and not for kids. That that kind of dog shouldn't be a pet. What will you do? What will you say? What will you feel?

Re: Sigh.

When Camickey licks your hands, say "Kisses Camickey" in a sweet voice. Master the tone of that praise and repeat (the tone) whenever the act of licking is done. To start you up, gather a small amount of peanut butter on your fingers and of course camickey will naturally lick you: Say the...

Re: Sigh.

So I was read Victory's post about teaching bite inhibition. It was stated there that, "How do you teach bite inhibition, my rule is that my chows are never, ever allowed to mouth, not in any way. They can lick but open mouthed approachs for attention or anything else are firmly discouraged. C...

Re: Sigh.

Most of the times I would go to Mochi if I am really upset. I didn't know that it would affect his behavior. Anyhow, are there really times when they're enjoying outside or what they're doing and when it's time for you to stopped them they would snap at you? I think he's like that. Also, he ALWAYS h...

Sigh.

So as I told everyone back then, I left home because of the way they treat Mochi. When we're in my Auntie's house, he really changed. At first he nipped some people there, but eventually it stopped. Even if I play with him, walk in front of him whatsoever, he won't bite me. He got better. He gets to...

Re: OMG!!! FIRST TIME!! :O

when we will walk through a bunch of dogs they would all bark at him nonstop. But Mochi will just sit and stare at them, without barking and whatsoever. I just think he's teasing them. :D He has too much dignity to act like those dog losers! Loo's just like that! I think so too! He's like, "I'...

Re: Quick question!

Looks like they are playing and enjoying each others company. \:D/ So happy for Mochi! Of course it would be ideal if there was a way for them to get away from each other should the need arise. But what in life is ideal, really? I would check on them periodically, to see what they are doing. That's...

OMG!!! FIRST TIME!! :O

Ohmygaaaahd! :O So this is why. Mochi was having his daily walk a while ago. We walked through with some people, so they asked me if he's a good dog. I told them he's okay sometimes. Then one of them petted him, that time I was so nervous that Mochi might bite him and they will say bad things about ...

Quick question!

Is it okay to let 2 chow chows stay in a crate? They have been mouthing each other so I'm worried that one of them will be hurt. However, they will get tired of it and sleep. I'm thinking that they're just playing around or...not. :/ I'm saying no to both of them but they won't stop but later on the...

Re: I HATE THEM! What will you do if you're in my position?

I completely understand what you all said. I felt bad after I talked back to my parents or relatives. -_____- It's just that can you imagine your chowling being treated like just other stray dogs? Hitting them, shouting at them, treating him like he's not a living thing. I ALWAYS. always explain to ...

Re: I HATE THEM! What will you do if you're in my position?

Thank you for your replies. I cried when I'm reading it because you are the only ones who understand me. :'( Actually I'm living with my father and his relatives (grandpa, grandma, cousins, uncle and auntie). We had a fight again just a while ago, and I was so frustrated. Really. really. frustrated....

Re: BIG Problem... :( Please help!

I am very sorry people. Mochi was given to me by my boyfriend because I really really want to have a dog. My mistake was I still get him even if I don't really know how to take care of dogs. I was expecting myself to learn while having him. I am not 12 years old, I'm 17. I sincerely apologize to tho...

Re: BIG Problem... :( Please help!

The crate is a good idea, but in the house. Second, stop hitting your Chow. Third- go to the Training section and look for articles on bite inhibition and socializing. Read them carefully. Once you do that, you can be more specific; such as your age, your family composition, how much alone time doe...

BIG Problem... :( Please help!

So this is my big problem. My ChowChow puppy's name is Mochi. I have him since he was 2.5 months old. When I got him for the first week, he was so quiet that he would just let others carry him but later on he became aggressive. He's nibbling on different things, worst is he would ALWAYS bite us. I d...

Mochi no!!! OUCH. >.<

So this is my problem with Mochi, my chow chow. When I first got him, he's so sweet and quiet. He would just sleep and let anyone touch him. He was with me for two days and because I still have to go to school, and no one will take care of him in our house, I decided to leave him temporarily with my...
