Re: Wanting to feed raw, but little helpless
Hi, it's nice trying to feed your dog raw. I have this practical guide to feed your dog raw food and make sure it's a balanced healthy diet! I'm sorry it's in portuguese, but I'll translate the info for you. http://www.cachorroverde.com.br/an_guia_caes.pdf FOR PUPPY according to its age: from 2 to 4...

Re: itch, itch, itch
If you can't solve the problem by yourself, take your dog to the vet. I took mine to two different vets that diagnosed her with allergy and told me it was up to me to find out the cause. But I've tried it all (recently switched to salmon dog food), but now I think this is not allergy (or at leats no...

Re: itch, itch, itch
my chow is allergic too, but I have no idea what's causing it. the only new thing she's using is a special shampoo the vet told me to buy so her skin will be treated. she eats the same food since she switched from puppy dry dog food to adult (she's 2 years old now), but now she's got itches and I do...

Re: Does anyones Chow do this??
Kiara uses toys to cheer me up whenever I'm really sad about something. If she hear me cry or another sound that indicates pain, she might be fast asleep, but she wakes up, gets her favorite ball and bring it to me like "hey, this will solve all your problems". And she also likes to lie do...

Re: Parasite problem
Nevermind, I'll find some money and buy the product for the ticks, can't let her get infected. :/ Just remembering all the blood around the house, the fever, and the doctor saying she would most probably die makes me wanna cry (this was back when she was 6 months old, now she's 2 years old and I'm v...

Parasite problem
Hey guys, I'm not sure there's already a topic about it, but I'm a little worried. When Kiara was a puppy, she almost died because of ticks (I'm not sure this is the correct name, I used google translator for this word. But I'm talking about the arachnid that parasites dogs, they're VERY numerous he...

Re: chow pup not eating that much
Have you taken the puppy to the vet? If it refuses to eat anything, even food that is considered tasty, it might be sick, you have to check that with a vet.

Re: Picky Eating Chow
But you also have to check what your dog likes better. I served Kiara Pedigree since day one, but she never really liked it, she ate very poorly, small amounts, or nothing :c But I know some dogs who HATE super premium food and love Pedigree... so it's no use forcing your dog super premium food if h...

Re: Picky Eating Chow
My chow has never liked dry dog food, but I've always tried do force her into eating it, now she's 2 years old and really skinny, so I got really worried and tried to make her eat more, mixing her food with wet dog food such as pedigree's wet meat pieces, warm water, vitamin dust, all I got was to m...

Re: The Chow Chow Owners Picture Gallery!
Hello there. I was admiring all those amazing pictures of the chows and their owners, and decided to share some from my beloved Kiara. She's 3 months old and I love her! We're from Brazil, Rio de Janeiro and we couldn't help but envy all those pics of chows on the snow, looking so comfortable. I'll ...

Re: Puppy hair? Adult Hair?
Ya that was the first thing i checked. His skin is fine, perfectly normal, all pink and clean. I think he's just being a baby about it. About that, I have a 3 months old chow chow, and during the first weeks since I brought her home, she used to pee all over herself, and that got her a lot of knots...
