Layla is right. It takes several weeks for their tongues to change color to purple. Newborn Chow pups have pink tongues.

Berkley had entropian in both eyes, too. He had the surgery a couple of weeks after he arrived (look up his pics I posted to the Group) and he healed very quickly. His eyes look great now! You might try this...it has always worked for me: When you're playing and he gets all riled up, on the very first bite, yelp immediately then turn away with your arms folded.
