Re: new baby and my old babies
Thanks everyone She is so precious and beautiful I have noticed Buddha slowly starting to relax more and more around her, so that's good!

You know, that makes sense. We babysat a little boy not long ago who cried for 2 hours and Buddha reacted the same way.

Re: new baby and my old babies
Thanks so much for your replies :) I will post pictures as soon as I can get them resized, I always have trouble with that part LOL We did bring a blanket home from the hospital a few days before Emma and I were discharged, for the dogs to smell, and we let Buddha smell her as much as he wants. I th...

Re: Chows and Children?
Hi! I was like you and did a ton of research before I agreed to get a Chow. My husband wanted one so bad, and of course all I heard was the horrible stories. I had a baby a week ago, and so far my Chow is GREAT with her, though he does get a little anxious when she starts making noises. I thi...

Re: Introducing Ourselves
Hi! Rex sounds like my Buddha! I had house alarm salesmen that tried to sell me an alarm system, but Buddha wouldn't let them any closer than right before the front porch...I had to laugh, and ask them if they really thought I needed a home security system LOL

new baby and my old babies
Hey all! I don't know if any of y'all remember me, it's been a LONG time since I have posted! I lurk though, and like to keep up with everything. Anyway, I just had a precious baby girl last week, and her name is Emma Grace. I was just wondering if there is anything to do to make everything easier f...

Re: Outside Chow
We fostered Annie, and she was one hundred percent an outside dog, not by our choosing, but by hers. We think she may have been beaten for going inside, and maybe that's why she is afraid of being inside? Or maybe she just really likes her freedom. Her new family has tried so hard to get her to be c...

I was just wondering if there were any new developments in this situation? I have been following it, and I'm hopeful to see justice done for these poor puppies.

Re: Neutering Question: What to expect
Buddha was groggy his first day and incredibly whiney. He just couldn't understand why it hurt to sit...it took him awhile, but he finally was able to get comfortable, and refused to move anywhere. That was the first day, after that he was fine and happy. We didn't need to keep an e-collar on him be...

Re: Need help!
Well, it's smooth and red, like a scab, it's the same color it was when he cut it to be honest, that is why I'm not too freaked about, but I just want to make sure I shouldn't be freaked. He still tries to clean it when the bandage is off, but he isn't limping or whining or anything else. I know Cho...

Re: Tne incredible hugable Chow Chow
If DH is anywhere around, Buddha tolerates hugs from me, and shakes it off as soon as I move away from him. If it's just Buddha and me he loves hugs LOL....he's gotta be a tough guy around DH though

Judy, I love that blanket, it's beautiful! I have a friend expecting twins in June and she's moving back to the States in a couple weeks...she's getting sick of it too LOL She's so angry, she's too big to fly coach so she has to fly business class...can't see what she's complaining about personally....
