Wow...what beautiful photos! I wish I could get a good sleeping shot. She always wakes up before I can do it. I'm not sneaky enough I guess.

The Pet Expo is this weekend. I went last year, and it's a lot of fun! Check it out if you live nearby.

Oh yea! She used to have a border collie/Aussie mix (he passed about year ago). She knows what she's in for! I think she plans to do agility with her ...once the puppy is old enough.

My girl was very shy as a puppy too, and still is. At 9 weeks old, she is at a very critical point for socialization. Take her out with you everywhere!! Put her in a strangers arms and let them pet her. If possible, have her meet new people each day. Meeting different kinds of people is good too (yo...

I have made 2 claims with Pet Care Insurance and have had almost no trouble. They did ask me for more info once though (all vet records the vet had on file). The claim was for about 500 dollars. Within 2 weeks, I had the refund check (minus the 50 dollar deductible). It looks like their prices and d...

Check http://www.petcareinsurance.com I have them and love it. My policy will even cover hereditary issues (eyes, hips, ect). They offer a little discount too for micro-chipped pets and multiple pets.

Pek would probably love it! As long as her hips are in good shape for jumping. They can set the bar low so it's not such an impact. You should go watch a class sometime, they have them in several locations. Do you live in the Valley still?

We had a chow a few years ago that got sarcoptic mange too. It took forever for the vet to diagnose because she too did not have it in the typical places. In fact, it wasn't until everybody in the house started itching like crazy that we finally figured it out! We took her back in and the vet still ...

She has done the tire jump and the bar jump. She does great with that. I wish I could have gotten one of her coming out of the tunnel. When she came out, she took off running for my other dog who was on the sidelines...little brat. Next week I'll have to leave my other dog home and have whoever is t...

agility pics

Well, these are not very good pictures. But, here is a few from her class. I banned my sister and boyfriend (who were taking the pics) because Zoey just wanted to watch them instead of paying attention! We pretty much just covered the high walk that day. I'll have to try to get some pics of her doin...

The trainer holds the leash and trys to get your dog lined up right in front of the entrance to the tunnel. I'm at the other end, on my knees, sticking my head in the tunnel calling her with a treat. And yes, she did try to just run around the tunnel. She kept pulling to both sides trying her best t...

Oh Zoey put up a good little fight before she would go in that tunnel! Even harder for her, was having a stranger holding onto her leash. We had to pass our dog off to the trainer, then go to the end of the tunnel and coax our dogs thru it. She put on a good show for a minute (but no more than the o...

I started with searching http://www.apdt.com. I also used yahoo to search for agility classes in my area. I had my first class this past Saturday. It was so much fun! Zoey was a little nervous at first, but, eventually calmed down and did great. We got to try the tunnel, A-frame, tire jump, and weav...

This is Zoey- I love to be petted and hugged by everybody I know. If I dont know you though, your not gonna get close enough to even touch me! Sometimes we have house guests for up to a week. I follow them around the house (quietly woofing behind them) so they know I'm watching them. After 2 days of...

Dunkin Doggies in Chatsworth was my favorite place to go, but, they recently closed down. I went to U Wash Doggie in Studio City on Ventura Blvd. (they have several locations in LA). Agility and Chi-ching

I was watching an agility competition on Animal Planet last night, and was wondering how Chi-ching was doing with that. Those dogs look like they have an absolute blast doing it. I would love to try it with Zoey, just for fun not to compete. I doubt I could get my nervous girl to go thru those tunne...

Check with petcare pet insurance at http://www.petcareinsurance.com. They will cover hereditary problems. There is a 30 day waiting period after signing up though. Cruciate ligaments is one of the top 10 claims they paid for in January (listed on website).
