Re: chewie the chow chow needs loving family
Still stand by my opinion. We are talking about a non aggressive, loving chow according to the owners description that has stated reasons for giving up the chow is due to husbands military orders. I know about military orders and have witnessed military families getting rid of pets when they move be...

Re: PLEASE HELP NEED HOME FOR AGGRESSIVE CREAM FEMALE!!DESPERATE
Please...has anyone heard anything about this chow finding a new home? Are there any rescues near by where the owner could take her? I pray this chow doesn't get put down because of ending up in a shelter. Sounds like the lady is the only one in the family that likes the chow and vice versa. Its hea...

Re: chewie the chow chow needs loving family
Filly...you have the right to express your feelings as I do mine. I stand behind what I said 110%. So many people toss away an animal like an old dish rag and I am sick of it. Yes she has the right to post here to find a home for her Chow and I have the right to post here exactly what I think of her...

Re: chewie the chow chow needs loving family
I am also a Military family...Whenever my husband receives orders for us to move, ALL of our animals go with us...that is complete BS when someone lays the excuse "oh my hubby has orders to move so we can't keep the pet". Would you leave one of your children behind?? But thats not the poin...

Re: 7 month in san francisco
This is a beautiful chowboy....I hope he finds a loving home...it's sad when someone tosses away a precious pet because they are unwilling to devote any time training them. Hopefully the previous owners will never get a pet again. He is just such a beautiful baby.

Re: please answer
Thanks all for replies...I was just worried because I thought he wouldn't have any urge to mate. He wasn't agressive, he almost seemed scared and a little unsure what was going on, like his body taking over his mind. My spayed female Jack Russell of course wasn't having any of it. She was the one th...

I'm really concerned and will be going to the vet tomorrow. My 9 month old neutered chow tried to have *Censored Word* with my 2 yr old female Jack Russell a few moments ago. At first I wasn't sure what was going on, my daughter said "look at Riley" and when I looked he was humped over, li...

He was the only puppy in a liter of 6 that so far has had this. As far as breeding goes, it will never happen with me. I don't breed, period. And yes, I am getting this little guy. Someone had ask a question about hips and elbows, well who can really know what will happen in life. I did try to adopt...

It has been a little over 8 months since I lost my sweet Abbie. We have her urn on the mantle of the fireplace, it has a picture of Abbie on the front. I miss her everyday. We always talk about her and the things she did. She knew she was the best in our eyes....so spoiled. She would act so tough an...

I read an article that stated 80% of chows have entropian and that it is heritary. But I would hardly list this as a defect . The way you sound its like the hell with all the animals that have a slight. Its a good thing I guess that I'm an animal lover and can see past the flaw and want to help. Gla...

Finally..a new baby
Well since someone got to the shelter before me to adopt the chow...I didn't give up and I found a 10 week old chowboy from a breeder and will get him next wednesday. I have a question about something called entropia. My little boy had his eye "tacked" and the vet told the breeder he could...

My chow Abbie(R.I.P) had to have surgery to remove warts on her eyes , they were actually like where a woman would wear eyeliner, right on the line. It didn't seem to bother her as far as pain but sometimes she would rub them off and they would bleed. Then they would eventually grow back so finally ...

There is a beautiful chow Kasper, you'll see pictured somewhere on this site and this one looks like a baby Kasper...he is white, I mean white with little orange ears...sooo pretty. I think the user name is Kasperkisses. I had never seen a chow that white. This little puppy here looks like a snowbal...

It sounds like you loved your baby so very much, I know your heart is breaking. I still ache for my sweet Chow that died of cancer. I had never even heard of bloat before reading your story and I had my Chow for 11 1/2 years. I read chow books and don't remember seeing bloat mentioned. You can't bla...

Well, Ebony was adopted yesterday and it wasn't by me. I am very disappointed that I couldn't get there fast enough. We were going today and when I called this morning, Sonia at the shelter said she was gone. I ask if she went to a good home and she told me Ebony went to an excellent home and that s...

I called the shelter again today and explained to them that I really wanted to meet this Chow. I spoke with a different woman this time and she explained that the Chow is a little bully towards other dogs, she just goes up to them and picks a fight, but she is very friendly to humans. My hubby is mi...

I lost my 11 1/2 yr old wonderful Chow to cancer in Feb this year..we had her since 9 weeks old. I found a chow for adoption in a shelter in McPherson Kansas while looking online at petfinder.com, I called to ask about the chow and the lady told me Ebony was 5 months old and very sweet, but then she...

Thanks to all for your kind words and support. Sit by beach had ask if Abbie was my first chow and yes, Abbie was my first dog. A year ago I got a 4 month old Jack Russell. I was the Jack Russell's 3rd home. The first 2 homes didn't like how she was so hyper. I have her and she will be with me throu...
