Seeing things....and biting
Okay. So, I have looked and looked and cannot find anything on this. Gonzo started walking in circles (which he always does), only now, he jumps up and bites at the air, almost as if he was biting at a fly or something. Only there is absolutely nothing there. At first, it was just a couple of times, but today he did it non-stop for almost 20-30 minutes. Is this just him or does any other chow do this? Any help would be great, even if it was just giving me someone to contact. Thank you!~
Hi,
These are links I found by googling 'walking in circles dogs'.
http://home.ivillage.com/pets/symsolve/0,,mfsr,00.html
next, vestibular being one of the more minor (treatable) conditions; my Shadie (gsd/akita mix) had two bouts of it.

I'd definitely have this checked by a knowledgable vet or even a specialist.
Purple kisses, and hugs to Gonzo

Age
Gonzo is only about 4 years old...he's not full blooded though, I adopted him from a humane society. I'm not sure what else he is, although he looks alot like a golden retriever more than any other dog.

This is Gonzo. He's not very photogenic but he sure loves his pool!! We had had some problems with him balding on his hind end (noticeable in the first photo) but as you can see in the second one, he grew it all back
