Dog Food Alternative

Post by sit_by_the_beach »

I have some friends who own a Sheltie. Their dog had problems similar to my chow, hot spots, itching etc. They tried Essex Cottage Farms food. Their 10 yr. old sheltie's coat improved, no more itching and hot spots.

With all the controversy re canned food, I don't trust the bagged kibble either. I had wanted to switch to cottage farm for a long time, now is a good time to do it. I called their 800 no. The food is available in the US.
I am posting their website URLs and you can read it yourself. I will give it a try.

They have several locations in the US.

GRAIN-FREE RAW DIETS

One of the most frequently asked questions we get is:

'What do you recommend for a Raw Grain-Free diet?

We have researched the RAW GRAIN-FREE natural dog food on the market & the only raw natural dog food we recommend with 100% confidence
is a product called 'Urban Wolf'.

After exhaustive testing, we are happy to report that 'Urban Wolf' makes an excellent, highly recommended raw grain-free dog food (& raw puppy food).

One of the most important features (in our opinion) of Urban Wolf is the fact that you can make it with pre-cooked meat. When we tested this diet, it was as highly digestible with raw or cooked meat. We were pleased with the results of the feed trials we did with Urban Wolf Adult Dog food & Puppy food.
