just another rainy day at the bridge
i do not think i have the emotioniall strength to be active in rescue .
I have a little story. One of my nieces was married to a horrible man, but he loved his kids and.........animals. Their cat had surgery. My niece reminded him to pick up the cat Friday afternoon. He forgot, she was upset having to pay the vet for another night.Jeff&Peks wrote:I stay away from rescues and shelters because I would be thrown out, everytime I walk into a shelter an argument starts. Nothing but the workers and so called experts would be euthanized with me around, I would be opening all the cages at night helping them all to escape.
The story is of a chow, it's even been on this site before. There is a web page about it. The chow bit some stupid news paper boy who came into the house uninvited. according to the site for the chow, the chow bit the teenage on the aXX for coming into the house, the teenager's father who had already raised a child that didn't understand the concept of privacy, decided to bullie the doctors and others in the town, (guess this guy was some bigshot) and they tried to make out that the chow, charged through the door to get to the teenager and nearly killed him. Of course that didn't explain the intial medical report of minor lacerations, no lasting, permanent or signaficant damage done. Or the fact that the sunday paper was lying nearly in the living room of the house in perfect fresh off the truck condition, (the teenage said he threw it into the house from the porch)Jeff&Peks wrote:A few years ago there was a Chow, (if I remember right I'm sure it was a Chow), that was being held for some legal stuff it was in the shelter for along time, people tried everything they could to get the Chow out of there but nothing helped, one night they had a break-in, the Chow was never seen or heard from again, the owners didn't even know what happen to the Chow. Sounds kind of ery but the Chow didn't get killed I guess.
That's my way of doing thing's, no discussions, no arguments, no listening to who thinks its the best way, just do it. It wouldn't take much for me to become one of those hard core, radical activist people. Pekoe would be there with Picket signs saying, "set my people free"
