Seminole Animal Shelter in need due to fire

Last night the Seminole County, Florida, Shelter had an electrical
fire. Over one third of the building is completely gutted. All the
cats are dead, as are all the dogs that were in quarantine. Had it
not been for the super-human work of the firemen, the entire building
would have burned down, and 200& additional dogs would have died.
Right now the firemen are literally camped out on the site and will
not leave until the electrical problem has been diagnosed and
remedied.

The Seminole shelter handles all local animal problems, plus they
were acting as the shelter for the area hit by a tornado last week.
That is why the kennel was so full.

Please do not send food or supplies. Items are already on their way
or have been ordered. Now what is needed is funds to pay for these
supplies and all the new equipment.

If you can send a donation - whatever you can afford, please make

FAKC is headed by Diane Albers, and this is the organization that has
done so much work with hurricane relief for all of Florida as well as
any of the other states around it that have needed help. I can
assure you any donation you send will be stretched absolutely as far
as it can be.
