So long Max
I haven't been on this forum for a number of years unfortunately I've returned to pass on the news that the second Chow Max unfortunately was PTS last week. It was bloat unfortunately and despite getting him to the nearest vet within 1 hour due to his age (13) there was little they could do and the humane thing was to allow him to fall asleep in my arms.
It's nearly 2 weeks now and fair to say I've done the bulk of my crying although it's still painful to think about it but I wanted to place a positive post and say thanks to those over the years that have given me advice on caring for this strange breed. I've included a picture of Max who still weighed 40 kilos (red) and Holly (black) who at 14 has slowed down a lot now but is growing old gracefully.
So long Max x
