Can't Determine if my chow chow is pure breed.

I bought chow chow last 4 days. He has a paper and all. The structure of his body. no doubt that he's a chow. But my only concern would be his tongue. He's turning 3 months on 20th of dec. But his tongue is not dark as I usual. I'm afraid that he's not a pure breed. Please help me guys. ((

Chows are born with pink tongues the blue color develops in the first months of their live. So he still can develop the proper blue tongue.
